Renting a vacation home has a lot of upsides compared to staying at a resort, like extra privacy, more room, and arguably a nicer location. However what if you were to find a rental that makes “normal” vacation villas look boring? Is there a rental out there that’s more luxurious than private beach-side estates while simultaneously are larger than an entire resort? Well as it turns out, there is. That makes it one of the most expensive properties that we have examined, however this rental is absolutely amazing in all imaginable aspects. Located within the Virgin Island of the Caribbean is where we find our luxury rental of the week. Necker Island is just off the coast of Virgin Gorda, so getting here won’t be the most difficult thing in the world. The entire 74-acre island is comprised of lush foliage, breathtaking views, and pristine beaches. On it we find a few premium homes that make it one of the most appealing rentals out there.
There are a total of two main properties and a collection of small villas that are located on Necker Island, and all of which are absolutely beautiful. There’s the Great House (main house), the Bali Houses (six small villas), and the Temple House. All of the structures feel like truly exquisite beach homes, and are appropriately decorated. There’s ample amount of exterior living space, multiple pools and hot tubs, plenty of lounge chairs and hammocks to relax in, and much more. Necker Island is kind of like renting out an entire resort as you will come to see. It has all the amenities that you could ever want from a resort, but they’re offered exclusively to you and your family or friends.
The interior spaces of the multiple homes that are located throughout Necker Island are as luxurious as you’d imagine them to be. We find large ceilings, massive windows, and intricate woodwork that’s incorporated into the architecture of the structures. This rental is really marketed towards massive parties, as there is just so much room here. Take a stroll through the various rooms and you will be greeted with premium furnishings and beautiful artwork that make this place feel better than home.
Since Necker Island contains two main homes and then a collection of six villas, in terms of accommodations, there is more than enough room here. There’s actually probably more room than you realistically need, but that’s never stopped anyone before. In the Great House there are eight bedrooms that offer en-suite bathrooms and private balconies and a children’s room with bunk beds for six. Each of the six Bali Houses can accommodate a couple, and also offer their own bathrooms and there’s even more in the Temple House. In total, Necker Island has room for 34 guests, so again, this rental is best for massive parties. You do, after all, have 74-acres of island that are at your disposal. At Necker Island you can spend your days lounging around by the pool or sunbathing on the beach. If you like to stay active, then there’s a lot to do here as well. The island comes complete with a private fitness center, an entertainment room, a tennis court, ocean kayaks, jet ski’s, surf boards, and more. It would be a challenge to try and do everything here.
Additionally Necker Island, while a private island, is quite like a luxurious resorts in more ways that you can imagine. When you book a vacation here, an army of staff members will be at your disposal to ensure that your stay is nothing but pure bliss. You will have a few private chefs, butlers, maids, and bartenders who will work with you to make the experience absolutely unforgettable. All of this obviously comes at a high price. Depending on when you book your stay, prices for Necker Island range between $62,000 dollars per night to $78,000 dollars per night. However on average, you can expect to pay around $70,000 dollars per night. This is out of the average vacationers budget, but some people can still afford to stay here. If they couldn’t, then a place like this wouldn’t exist. But it does, and it’s absolutely amazing.
While Necker Island is going to cost most an arm and leg for a week-long vacation, if you can afford it, it’s arguably one of the best places to stay at. There aren’t many private islands in the Caribbean that are this large or feature rich, let alone ones that you can rent exclusively for yourself. For the most discerning luxury travelers of the world, Necker Island is the real deal. This is what one of the best vacation rentals looks like, and it’s in the form of a 74-acre island that can sleep 34 people. It really does not get much better than this.
