The Most Amazing Travel Destinations Where There’s No Wi-Fi

Amazing Locations That are Wi-Fi Free

Being constantly connected to the internet and our friends at all times is typically really great, but sometimes you have to get away from it all. We take vacations to relax and get away from the stress that fills our regular lives, but even still, most places you visit will have Wi-Fi access. It’s the norm now, but Wi-Fi doesn’t completely cover our planet. There are plenty of incredible locations that out there that are remote, beautiful, and Wi-Fi free. So let’s take a look at a few different places that are absolutely breathtaking and completely off-the-grid, in other words, the most ideal places to escape to.

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park – Tanzania

Located out in the hearts of the African continent are over 3,500-square-miles of protected lands known as the Serengeti National Park. This is one of the most famous and most beautiful national parks in the entire world, and it’s a great place to get away from Facebook and Reddit for a bit, provided you’re a bit adventurous. The Serengeti is home to vast populations of African wildlife including the “big five” (lions, leopards, elephants, Cape buffalos, and rhinos). Here you can partake in some incredible safari tours and experience nature at it’s most magnificent state.

Hanauma Bay

Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve – Hawaii, United States

The Hawaiian Islands are known for their beautiful vistas, incredible beaches, and warm weather, and the Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve is a great location to experience the true essence of Hawaii. We are not talking about massive five-star resorts or towering vacation hotels. We’re talking about a protected are of both land and water that is pristine and, for the  most part, untouched by sprawling resorts and tourists traps too-often found in other parts of Hawaii.

Palawan

Palawan, The Philippines

Palawan is an island that is a state within the Philippines, and it is another incredible location where there isn’t any wireless internet. But more importantly, it’s also extremely beautiful. That’s not to say that you won’t find any Wi-Fi (or cell reception for that matter), but chances are probably pretty slim. Unlike most of the other parts from the Philippines, Palawan is comprised of steep, tree covered mountains and spectacular lagoons. It’s extremely exotic, remote, and beautiful. It’s a bit more of a rigid location and if you don’t need to be in a luxury hotel or resort, it is well worth a trip to visit Palawan.

Yosemite

Yosemite Nation Park – California, United States

The United States is home to 59 protected plots of land that have been designated as National Parks, and they are all pretty incredible. Visiting any of them is a great place to go if you want to escape Wi-FI, but many would consider Yosemite National Park to be one of the best. Nearly 4 million individuals flock to 1,168-square-miles that are Yosemite, and it is arguably one of the most incredible displays of nature that American has to offer.

Patagonia

Patagonia – Argentina/Chile

Out of all the incredible locations that you can visit where there’s no Wi-Fi, and where you’re free of the everyday distractions of life, Patagonia might be the most awe-inspiring one. Located in both Souther Chile and Argentina, Patagonia is a unique area comprised of the Andes mountains, glaciers, desserts, steppes, and plains. This region is virtually untouched by the modern world, and while remote, there really aren’t that many places on Earth that are like Patagonia. The region is harsh and grueling, yet at the same time beautiful and extremely serene. You can visit a few national parks that are located throughout the region and even camp out, away from the world. But if you need some comforts, you can find hotels, however they are still very remote. Regardless, Patagonia is absolutely spectacular and is worth visiting if you want a Wi-Fi free trip.
