How about a $4.8 Million Balloon Ride over Mount Everest?

Mount Everest is shown at approximately 8,850-meter

IfOnly is a company that has created the idea of organizing luxury traveling experiences of a lifetime for customers. Their goal is to offer life changing trips and make “if only” moments a reality for everyone, yet, they take the concept one step further and use the proceeds to benefit different charities. The website uses connections to communicate and work with charities so they can raise a lot of money. One of their recent trip offerings is an expedition over Mount Everest in a hot air balloon that benefits Unicef.

The hot air balloon trip is available on the IfOnly website but costs an extremely expensive $4.8 million if only one person is attending the excursion while the price jumps up to $5.2 million for a couple. If users choose to purchase the Mount Everest trip, they will undergo a month of physical and skills training to make sure they are appropriately ready for the cool climates and altitude shift (which can impact breathing).

Although the trip is weather permitting, the goal is to spend most of the day floating around Everest with a goal of crossing the entire mountain in the hot air balloon. Although rescheduling due to weather or failing to cross the entire mountain will cost some extra money, the entire trip is benefiting an amazing cause.

The brilliance behind the idea of IfOnly is that people always receive something in return. While donating to charity shouldn’t be done for a reward, the company is creating opportunities to boost the amount of large donations that come in by offering these amazing experiences. Although expensive, IfOnly has invented a new way to boost charity donations while also offering once in a lifetime journeys that won’t be found anywhere else.
