7. Kotor – Montenegro

Kotor Montenegro

Kotor is a small coastal town on the Adriatic in the equally small nation of Montenegro. Much like Dubrovnik, Kotor is truly a treasure. While it appears to be a fjord, it is actually a submerged river cannon. The surrounding Dynamic Alps coupled with the charming and secluded nature of the town make it one incredible port of call.

Hong Kong China

Surrounded by massive sky scrapers, neon lights, and the mountains in the back, Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbor is certainly breathtaking. Sure, it’s not some tiny European port on the Mediterranean, but as far as city ports go, Hong Kong is really quite spectacular.

2. Santorini – Greece

Santorini Greece

Situated out in the Aegean Sea is the island of Santorini. There really isn’t any other place in the world that is quite like this island and port. Santorini is a volcanic island whose steep cliffs make it seem as though it would be inaccessible, however on top is the town of Oia and it is just absolutely sublime. When looking at the island and the town, it seems as though they shouldn’t even exists. But they do, and it’s certainly one of the most beautiful ports in the world.

1. Ha Long Bay – Vietnam

Ha Long Bay

Ha Long Bay in northern Vietnam is truly one of the most unique and stunning geographical locations in the entire world. Ha Long Bay is roughly translated into “Bay of Descending Dragons” and it is comprised of thousands of jungle-covered islands and limestone pillars. It’s not technically one single port as it is located across about 74 miles of the coast and there are many cities and villages located on the water. Still we had to include it as it is just so breathtakingly beautiful and there’s nowhere else that’s quite like it.
