Ziff Family Lists Florida Compound for $200 Million

An absurdly luxurious “home” is up on the market, and it is a highly-deserable property located on a small barrier island that is just south of Palm Beach, Florida. It used to belong to the Ziff family, who have just recently put it up for sale. William Bernard Ziff Jr. was a prominent publishing executive, CEO of Ziff Davice Inc, and a billionaire. He made quite the fortune for himself before he died in 2006 at the age of 76. Now the home is up for grabs, and the family is seeking $200 million dollars for it.

Known as “Gemini”, the Ziff family home is a massive beach-front complex that spans virtually the width of the island it’s on, and it offers 1,200 feet of private beaches and 16-acres of property. The family original purchased the home in the 1980’s, and have made significant improvements ever since. The home is extremely luxurious and it offers 62,200-square-feet of space in total.

Given how wealthy the family is, they had invested quite a deal of money into the home to make it absolutely beautiful. While the home was originally constructed sometime in the 1940’s, they have brought updated designs and furnishings to the home that makes it feel as new as ever.

Gemini is composed of a few different buildings actually. First we have the massive main home that is essentially a super mansion. Additionally there is a seven-bedrom guest home, a managers home with four apartments, and two beach-front cottages that offer four bedrooms each. So instead of viewing this as a “home”, it’s better to think of it as a small, private resort. The property essentially offers everything you would expect a billionaires home to have, and then some. There are even two golf greens on the island where you can practice golfing.

So while that $200 million dollar price tag is pretty absurd, the home has quite a lot to offer future homeowners. It’s a beach-side, mega-mansion that is located on its own island. Obviously it’s going to be pretty expensive.
