The Most Expensive Neighborhoods in Los Angeles

Southern California Spared From Savage Weekend Storms

California is a destination that most people would love to live in, especially if they could afford a home in Los Angeles. However, it’s not cheap to move out to anywhere in California, let alone Los Angeles because of how much is always going on and the amount of people seeking places to live out there. Let’s take a look at the most expensive neighborhoods in Los Angeles according to median home sale price.

5. Venice – $1.1 million

Venice is known for it’s location right on the beach (Venice Beach) and having access to beautiful scenery. There is plenty to do in this location on the beach alone with all of the shopping attractions as well as activities like paddle tennis, basketball, weight lifting, and even skate parks. Aside from this, there are plenty of street performers and merchants doing or selling something that might catch your eye; however, if you aren’t a fan of living in a place that’s always busy, Venice might not be for you, because it’s always go something going on.

4. Hollywood Hills – $1.3 Million

The Hollywood Hills are absolutely beautiful and sit high up in the Santa Monica Mountains. The great views make this a very popular destination for the wealthy, especially celebrities because aside from being stunning, it is close to the movie locations which provides easy access for them to travel to work. The Hollywood Hills are a very sought after destination that feels private but is still a short drive from the heart of Los Angeles and everything it has to offer.

3. Brentwood – $1.4 million

Brentwood is located on the western side of Los Angeles and houses over 33,000 residents. This part of the city has seven different private schools as well as two public schools and is said to be the most educated part of Los Angeles. This neighborhood is another celebrity destination with its high class feel that still leads right down to the ocean.

2. Beverly Glen – $1.6 Million

Beverly Glen is a very wealthy neighborhood in Los Angeles where one-story family homes are the smaller in the area. Otherwise, the neighborhood features a lot of private gated properties but the community is still very active and puts on a street fair each year. Beverly Glen is also known for its delicious farmer’s market with fresh foods that are featured in their annual garden walk and brunch. Although there might not seem like a lot is going on in this community, it has a lot to offer besides a 90210 zip code.

1. Pacific Palisades – $2.1 Million

The Pacific Palisades neighborhood is located on the west side of Los Angeles between Brentwood and Malibu. The area is very wealthy and the homes are normally available for around $2 million depending on the location and style. This is another location that features a large amount of gated homes but still has a very active community. Each year during the fourth of July, the community has day long events going on with fireworks at night to cap everything off. The Pacific Palisades is the most expensive place to live in Los Angeles, but is so nice that it seems nearly unreal.
