In the United States there are two cities that are the most expensive places to live: New York City and San Francisco. Frequently we see some of the most insane homes and apartments sell for incredible amounts, and now the most expensive home in San Francisco has recently been sold for a whopping $31 million dollars.

The home in question is a massive mansion that is located at 2701 Broadway. The home was constructed in 1910 and is located at one of the highest points in San Francisco. This means that from nearly every room you have incredible views of the downtown area, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the bay. The mansion offers 16,400-square-feet on interior space, and every room is extremely luxurious.

As soon as you set foot into the home, you can begin to see as to why it was priced so high. The home has been well maintained over the years, and in 2002 in went through a restoration and redecoration process from Moller Willrich Architecture and Design. While they brought plenty of updates to the home, they have still kept the classic vibe that makes the home so charming; it’s has a very classic Americana feel.

In total, the home offers seven bedrooms, seven full bathrooms, four powder rooms, two kitchens, two family rooms, two offices, three roof top terraces, an entertainment room, a basketball court, a big backyard, and much more. Basically the home has more rooms than you could ever possibly need, given that most immediate familes aren’t comprised of seven people.

The home is spread out over five massive floors, and as you can clearly see it is extremely luxurious. The home was actually initially listed for $39 million however the new owners, who have remained anonymous, got the price down to $31 million. This is a sharp increase over the last time the house was sold, as the previous owners purchased the property in 2012 for $27 million. I’m sure the new owners are pleased with their purchase, as this is arguably one of the nicest homes in the entire city of San Francisco. I still have to wonder what you could possibly do with all that space, I mean two kitchens and two living rooms?! I guess if you have the cash you’ll figure something out. I’m sure the new owners aren’t complaining.
