There is a wide variety of different jewelry out there, and like all things, some cost more than others. Black, Star, and Frost is a jeweler that was originally founded in New York and are well known for exotic, expensive, and one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces. The company was founded in 1810, so it has a long history working with jewelry and the Empress Necklace is certainly a testament of all that the company has achieved over the years.

Black, Star, and Frost wanted to create a piece of jewelry that would be extremely memorable for a variety of things, not just the incredible price tag. The jewelers over at the company wanted to create a piece that drew its influences from the golden years of the company, which were the early 1900’s. Thus the Empress Necklace was born. This extravagant necklace is features sapphires and diamonds that are beautifully arranged. A team of master artisans lead by the chairman Alfredo Molina worked together for over 1,500 hours to design and complete the piece. This amazing necklace is comprised of 30 untreated Burmese sapphires that took a few years to gather, 34 oval diamonds, and 404 round diamonds. All of these beautiful gemstones are set in over 70 feet of platinum wire. The final product is a necklace that is not only beautiful and extravagant, but complex and intricate when inspected up close. The cost of the Empress Necklace is priced at $4.5 million dollars, which is a stunning fact as well. It seems that Black, Star, and Frost have created an amazing piece of jewelry that is not only a work of art, but an investment so expensive only the top 1% of people could could dream of having.
