The Most Expensive Ritz Carlton Hotels in the World

London 2012 - Hotels

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel chain is synonymous with wealth, luxury, and extravagance throughout the world.  For over a hundred years Ritz-Cartons around the world have been providing their guests with the best possible service that one can expect in the hotel industry. However not all Ritz-Carltons are created equal, some are more expensive that others. So, we are going to take a look at some of the most expensive Ritz-Carltons in the world (rates are subject to change).

5. The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong

Sitting on top of the tallest building in Hong Kong, and the 7th tallest building in the world is the Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong. This Ritz is located on the top 16 floors of the building and offers guests 312 luxurious rooms that overlook the entirety of the city. Oh and did I mention that it has the worlds highest swimming pool? Yup, there’s an indoor pool and bar on the top floor of this building; truly an incredibly feat of hotel engineering. Rooms start around $514 USD per night while the most expensive suite is around $980 USD per night.

4. The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo

Located in midtown Tokyo in the Roppongi District, one of the worlds most expensive cities to live in, is the Ritz-Carlton Tokyo. Occupying the top nine floors of the second tallest building in Tokyo, this hotel features 6 different restaurants, 248 rooms, a 21,528 square foot spa and fitness center, and a “200-year-old tea house in the sky”. Depending on hotel rates, rooms start anywhere between $490 and $635 USD per night, while the most expensive suite is around $1300 per night.

3. The Ritz London

Our number 3 on the list is The Ritz located right in downtown London in Piccadilly, another extremely expensive city to live in. This Ritz was first opened in 1906 and is one of the oldest around. The hotel offers guests 111 room and 23 suites. The hotel’s architecture is built in the antique style of Louis XVI, with extremely lavish furniture and appointments. The hotel also has a exclusive members-only casino and restaurant. Average rates for a room here start around $655 dollars per night and reach up to $2,250 dollars for the largest suite.

2. Dorado Beach, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve

Coming in at number 2 on our list is Dorado Beach, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve. This absurdly luxurious hotel and resort is located on the beach in northern Puerto Rico. At one point in time this area was a plantation but has now been converted into arguably one of the nicest hotel/resorts in the entire world. Located in an enclosed 50-acre crop of private land surrounded by “coral reefs, blue Caribbean waters, and a lush tropical rain forest” this hotel and resort will surely leave you satisfied. Rooms here start around $699 dollars and get as expensive as $3,300 dollars for the two bedroom, ocean front suite with your own private pool. What more could you want?

1. The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park

Coming in at number one on our list in the Ritz-Carlton New York located across from Central Park. Arguably one of the most famous Ritz-Carlton’s ever erected, this was the first Ritz to come to North America when it was built in 1911. Conveniently located near Fifth Avenue, Broadway, and Rockafeller Center it is no mystery as why this hotel is so desirable, and expensive. Receiving many awards from Forbes and AAA this hotel overlooking central park is something out of a film. Perhaps that’s why countless movies feature this hotel. Rooms here start around $745 dollars a night and reach up to $4,500 dollars a night for the Premier Park Suite.
