BMW Designs Deluxe Suite at World-Renown Ice Hotel in Sweden

Alpeniglu Village - A Village Build Of Snow And Ice

BMW-owned Mini is headed to Sweden’s world famous Ice Hotel in Jukkasjarvi. The world-famous automaker has designed a deluxe suite that is currently being featured during the winter season. The suite has been built by MINI’s partner DesignworksUSA as the newest, most innovative, and largest lodging at the hotel (445 sq. ft.)

The suite is inspired by the natural, cyclical transformation of the hotel when the sun melts the ice. The new suite is shaped our of ice and snow and is a reflection of the shapes and outlines of Lapland’s flora and fauna. The amenities within the room are exactly what you expected from a highly expensive, unique experience the Ice Hotel represents.

Included in the lodging is a private sauna, a heated relaxation room with its own bathroom, and a sleeping area that uses a modern-day cave painting technique to record the story behind the genesis of the ice sculptures.

When you book the suite you also receive an experience package unlike any other. Guests will receive courses in ice sculpting by professional sculptors and a MINI Countryman. According to the head designer of the deluxe suite, it took 38 artists, 5 lighting designers and 55 workmen 12 weeks to create the suite, which includes 20 extra tons of ice.

For those of you who aren’t aware, each year the Ice Hotel invites partners and design individuals to create their own take on an inspiring room. This year it was BMW’s wholly-owned subsidiary DesignworksUSA’s chance. The suite is currently available to enjoy for a cool $2,100 a night. The Ice Hotel in Sweden offers just 13 art suites and 2 deluxe suits.
