Nestled away in Caminha, Portugal on the coast is this impressive four-star hotel known as the Design and Wine Hotel. The hotel is comprised of a 18th-century building that has been modernized, and a unique platform-building. This raised platform contains five premium suites, and the whole platform actually rotates throughout the day. Guests will fall asleep with views of the Santa Tecla Mountains in the back, and they will awake to views of the Minho River in the morning. This rotating design is very cool, and we haven’t seen anything like it before. The rest of the hotels 18 suites are located in the older building, and are all stylistically unique in their own way.
Each of the suites are elegantly designed, and feature very modern interiors. The surrounding area is also very beautiful as you are in the heart of Portugal’s wine country, so there is much to do an see.
The best part of this hotel is the price. One would expect a modern, boutique hotel that only offers 23 stylish suites to be fairly expensive, however that is not the case. As of right now, rooms start at around $80 dollars per night and can get as high as around $120 dollars per night. So not only is this hotel pretty awesome and luxurious, it is very affordable as well. If find yourself in the area seeking a cool hotel, the Design and Wine Hotel is your best bet.
