If you want some of the best champagne in the world, Perrier-Jouet probably makes it. This famous French champagne house was established in 1811 and are well recognized within the industry. Champagne is always a staple for celebrations, and Perrier-Jouet certainly delivers some of the best. The company is also known within the art and design world, as they often commission work from the worlds best artists. The company recently just presented a piece at the Design Miami festival called “Ephemerā”, or “Small Discoveries”. The piece was done by Mischer’Traxler who are well-known Vienna-based artists and designers, and it aims to encapsulate all that Perrier-Jouet represents.
While they are known in the world of artists, champagne is still their specialty. It is estimated that Perrier-Jouet ships three million bottles of their champagne each year. The have a small lineup of Champagne that varies in cost. Their entry-level champagne is priced at around $50, however their more expensive vintages can cost a few thousand dollars. All of their grapes are sourced from some of the best regions in France, and their champagnes are mixtures of these various different grapes. If you are interested in getting some, the company only sells them in a case of twelve bottles that costs $50,000 dollars. The champagne is made from a mixture of exotic and vintage liquors that give it a truly unique taste. The company is only producing a small amount of these cases, and when they sell out, there will be no more. The champagne is already extremely expensive, and it will be interesting to see how much it would cost say, 30 years from now.
