Five Places to Hit For NYC Restaurant Week

New York City Restaurant Week

Every year restaurants across New York City participate in restaurant week where they offer meals to guests at reduced prices. NYC Restaurant Week happens once during the winter and once during the summer, and as the next restaurant week is quickly approaching many people are already mapping out their routes. Typical participating restaurants offer three course meals for $25 during lunch and at $35 during dinner. We all know how expensive New York City is, so these are some great opportunities to take in the best food that the city has to offer. So what are some great places that you have to check out? Here are five restaurants that you should consider visiting during the upcoming NYC Restaurant Week.

5. Dos Caminos

If you’re in the mood for some quality Mexican food, Dos Caminos is a good choice. They have four locations in the city so the lines should be relatively shorter. Their lunch and dinner menus are fairly expansive and they provide guests with a great variety of food that ranges from traditional favorites to more experimental Mexican dishes.

4. Fung Tu

Located at 22 Orchard Street, Fung Tu serves up some great Asian cuisine. From their pork belly egg rolls to their vegetarian curry pot pie, Fung Tu has everything from Chinese classics to some pretty strange, yet still really amazing tasting dishes.

3. Smith & Wollensky

Places like Smith & Wollensky are always great choices to hit up during restaurant week due to how expensive they are normally. This is probably the most famous steak house around and it is well known for its luxurious and premium cuisine. You also cannot beat a $25 dollar steak lunch in New York.

2. Nobu New York

If you’re looking for sushi or Japanese food, Nobu is an absolute must to check out during restaurant week. They have all the classic favorites that we know and love, and it is certainly worthy of a quick stop for a sushi lunch.

1. Murray’s Cheese Bar

Any place that has “cheese bar” in its name is somewhere you must absolutely go. From the premium beer on tap to the atmosphere, Murray’s is a great restaurant. It’s obviously all about cheese here and they have amazing mac & cheese, cheese fries, melted cheese sandwiches, cheese burgers, and much more. Did I mention the cheese?
