As the name implies, the Boston Alligator Bag is a premium duffel bag that is made entirely by hand in Italy, from real American alligator leather. In the fashion world, alligator leather is usually considered the most premium form of leather. Not only does it have an attractive pattern, but it’s fairly durable compared to other types in addition to being exotic. The bag features two leather handles with a 6-inch drop, a removable shoulder strap, a main zippered compartment, silver-toned hardware, a leather interior, a removable leather luggage tag, one interior zip pocket, and one slip pocket. The bag measures out to be 17 x 20 x 9 inches, so it’s a fairly standard duffel bag, minus the materials.
All together this bag is priced at $25,000 dollars and is available in either black or dark brown. But the real question is, is it worth it? Now that all depends on what you value and how much you’re willing to spend on a duffel bag. It’s not like this duffel bag has any other added features compared to others, it’s just from Ralph Lauren and is made from alligator leather. You’d have to be pretty financially well off to realistically afford and rationalize a purchase like this, because again, it’s a duffel bag. That money could be used to buy a range of other premium products from Ralph Lauren like a suit or a few shirts. You could even buy a new car for that kind of money. It’s hard to see as to why anyone would need a bag like this one, but apparently some people out there actually buy this bag.
