Italy is another country filled with endless amounts of cities that offer breathtaking views and plenty of culture to soak up. While Italy is a vacation spot that plenty of people feel lucky to see once in their lifetimes, some people have the opportunity to shop for homes and hopefully move there at some point in their lives, so here are the most expensive cities in Italy.

5. Palermo

Palermo is located in the northwest area of Sicily down in the southern zone of Italy. It has a very rich historic culture that is still fantastic to see nowadays, and even better to live in. Palermo is filled with old architecture and buildings that go perfectly with the style of the surrounding area that feels like it is right out of a movie. If you enjoy living in an area with rich culture that has access to the ocean, Palermo could be the right choice for you.

4. Turin

Turin sits up in the Northwestern corner of Italy and filled with around 2.2 million residents. Turin has plenty of great restaurants to check out for some of the most authentic Italian food out there after long days of checking out the churches and opera houses that are located in town. Many noteworthy Italians have been born and grown up in Turin and it is considered to be one of the cultural capitals in the country, which tells those looking for homes that it is one of the truest Italian cities around.

3. Naples

Naples is one of the better known Italian cities for it’s location right on the Mediterranean sea. The city has great weather and the best views around, especially if you are fortunate enough to live there because of its architecture that combines the classic Italian style with some newer, taller, city buildings. Naples features the traditional tight streets of Italy and has plenty to offer to those seeking to make permanent residence there.

2. Milan

Milan is the second largest city in all of Italy and offers an urban or suburban setting depending on homeowner’s preferences. The city portion offers high rise buildings that feel like a lot of other places in the world but still keep that Italian flare; however, in the classic cultural suburban areas, the city has some of the most beautiful homes and cathedrals to check out.

1. Rome

Rome is one of the most popular locations in the world that truly offers the best Italian experience. There are all of the traditional sights and places to go, but the cuisine is phenomenal and nothing beats strolling down to one of the large and populated squares for some wine, food, and maybe gelato afterwards. If you want to live in Italy, there is no better place than Rome, but it will cost you because of its popularity.
