For those that seek a “luxury” cell phone, sometime you have to go outside the world of your standard smartphone offerings. Luckily there are many companies out there that offer bespoke and luxury customizations on existing cell phones that make them more premium and valuable. One such company would be Gresso, and their new line of limited edition iPhone 6’s are fairly impressive.

With a trademark that is registered in Switzerland, Gresso describes themselves as an “international company that manufacturers luxurious cell phones, smartphones, and accessories”. They are one of the worlds leading companies that offer these high-end bespoke options for phones, and they are the place to get ultra-premium phone customizations. As popular as the iPhone 6 is, they no doubt have introduced a limited collection of the phones that feature their great work. So what exactly are these phones made from?

Gresso has three different iPhone configurations to choose from, all of which are nice in their own respect. They use high-end materials like 18-karat gold and Grade 5 titanium to customize the phones, and the results are very impressive. Apple products are often considered by some to be a “luxury” good, so it makes perfect sense that Gresso used the iPhone 6 as the base for this project. In total, only 999 pieces will be constructed so not only do the phones feature super premium materials, they are also very limited. That’s essentially the simple formula for a luxury good: high-quality materials and a limited quantity.

Each unit features a trim in either white or yellow gold with the companies logo on it, and a collection number indicating the unit (i.e. 001/999) that verifies its authenticity. Gresso then took a single piece of Grade 5 titanium to carve the case for the phone. The base model, priced at $3,000, features the natural titanium look and trim and 64Gb of storage. The next two models (priced at $5,000 each) feature 128Gb of storage, black PVD-coated titanium, and either a yellow or white gold trim. Additionally all units are delivered in a premium leather and wood box that feels similar to a box that would house a high-end luxury timepiece. Outside of that, these phones will perform the same as regular iPhones. While they certainly are very costly, you do have to admit that these iPhones do look very slick and premium. If you want to pick one up, you’re going to have to contact Gresso directly as they are very limited. For more information, head on over to their website: Gresso.com
