Choosing the Right Wireless Beats Headphones For You

Beats By Dr. Dre Special Event At Marquee New York

Beats by Dre, are a headphone company that produces a variety of high-end headphones and speaker systems. The company was founded in 2006 by legendary hip-hop artist and producer Dr. Dre and producer Jimmy Lovine. Their goal was to make headphones that would capture the essence and the “true sound” of music, as they felt most people were only listening to music through cheap earbuds. The company quickly became successful after they launched their first pair of headphones, leading them to expand their product line. They were just recently acquire by Apple and now if you want a pair of Beats, you have to buy them through the Apple Store. The company has also popularized wireless headphones, so we are going to take a look at some of them.

If you are looking for wireless, bluetooth headphones or earbuds from Beats, then their entry level wireless pair are their Powerbeats 2 Wireless. These earbuds cost $199 and are marketed at athletes and people with active lifestyles, however anyone can use them. The advantage of these earbuds are that you do not have to worry about your earbuds getting unplugged or getting tangled when working out. They are also water resistant and sweat proof. I know that when I work out and am in the middle of a workout routine that sometimes my headphones will come unplugged, so the idea of wireless earbuds are very attractive.

If you are looking for over-ear headphones, then the entry level wireless headphones they make are the Solo 2 Wireless. These $299 dollar headphones are small over-ear headphones that have a 12 hour battery, a bluetooth range of 30 feet, and a built in hands-free mic. Given their nature the produce much better sounding music than the Powerbeats 2 Wireless, however I think it would be strange to workout with these (although I’ve seen it before). If you want even higher-quality wireless headphones then their Studio Wireless headphones are for you. These headphones also have a 12 hour batter and a range of 30 feet, however they are noise canceling and provide the user with much better sound quality. The studio Wireless headphones cost $379 dollars.

Wireless headphones are a great convince to have, and I definitely want a pair. However many people feel that music played over Bluetooth does not sound as good as a traditional pair that have wires. Regardless of the case, these headphones are really cool.
