Most car enthusiast probably have an opinion on what’s “the best car in the world”. Now there are certainly many incredible automobiles in addition to many poor ones out there. It’s virtually impossible to figure out which car is number one, as there are so many factors to consider, including personal opinion. However one way to figure out which cars are really good is to look at the brand loyalty amongst their drivers. Are their drivers likely to buy the same car or brand again? Or are they fed up and looking to switch? Experian Automotive has recently taken a look at both customer satisfaction and brand loyalty when it comes to automobiles. Additionally they examined how likely a driver was to buy or lease the same car in a row. They collected a large amount of data and have come up with the ten vehicles that have the highest levels of brand loyalty, and you might be surprised by what they found.

Subaru Forester

10. The Subaru Forester

Coming in at number ten is the Subaru Forester. Experian Automotive found that 41.1% of Forester owners were likely to purchase/lease the car again, or at least consider other Subaru models. The compact SUV/crossover is a popular, reliable, and capable vehicle that happens to be fairly affordable. In fact, Subaru was rated as the number one brand in terms of customer loyalty.

Kia Soul

9. The Kia Soul

Kia’s compact Soul is definitely not one of the most exciting, powerful, or luxurious cars in the world, but it definitely makes their owners happy. The Kia Soul is capable, extremely affordable, practical, and it offers a lot of value to drivers. Kia’s are also fairly reliable and cheaper to fix when they do have issues, compared to other manufacturers, which is why 42% of owners would consider buying one again.

Hyundai Genesis

8. The Hyundai Genesis 

The Hyundai Genesis is consistently ranked as one of the best luxury vehicles you can get for your money. It’s one of Hyundai’s most premium cars which means it’s outfitted with a host of great features and amenities, however it won’t break the bank like a BMW. According to Experian Automotive, 42.5% of current Genesis owners would stick with their car or come back for a second one, which is why Hyundai probably has decided to make Genesis into it’s own brand.

Lexus RX 350

7. The Lexus RX 350

The RX 350 from Lexus is definitely one of their stranger SUV’s, but since their SUVs are arguably some of the more popular one’s on the market, it’s no surprise that this mid-sized vehicle made the list. The sub-$42,000 SUV offers drivers a good glimpse into the premium side of Lexus, without getting to expensive. Lexus RX 350 owners were found to have a 42.7% chance of buying or leasing one again.

Ram 1500

6. The Ram 1500

Pickup truck owners and enthusiast are some of the most brand loyal automobile customers out there, as many will exclusively buy trucks from the same company over and over again; a purchasing decision typically fueled by passion and love for a brand. The Ram 1500, the companies entry-level vehicle, is quite popular and Experian Automotive found that 42.9% of current owners would probably buy one again.

Nissan Leaf

5. The Nissan Leaf 

Electric automobiles are on the ris, but in most cases they are too expensive for the average car consumer. The Nissan Leaf is still one of the best all-electric car that’s not only capable, but at  $29,010 dollars, it’s one of the most affordable ones on the road today. Nissan is usually a brand that you can trust in terms of reliability and overall customer satisfaction, which is why the Leaf has a brand loyalty rating of 44%.

Mercedes-Benz 2500 Sprinter Van

4. The Mercedes-Benz 2500 Sprinter Van

The Sprinter Van from Mercedes is probably their least exciting, glamorous, or luxurious car, so much so, that it has it’s own separate website as if it were a weird cousin twice removed. Regardless of it being a more utilitarian vehicle, it’s one of the best at what it does. Mercedes-Benz makes a wide range of Sprinter Vans that can do everything from carry packages to toe small cars. In terms of capable vans, the Sprinter is one of the best, which is why 44.8% of owners would likely buy or lease one again.

Lincoln MKZ

3. The Lincoln MKZ 

Despite receive many poor reviews for sits like Car and Driver, the Lincoln MKZ was found to be a favorable and enjoyable car amongst those that purchased one. The affordable American luxury sedan is a critical piece within Lincoln’s new drive to attract new customers and to compete with European automobile manufacturers. Some 44.8% of MKZ owners would purchase or lease one again, so it seems that they are doing something right.

Mercedes-Benz S-Class

2. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class

Despite their high ticket price as they represent the brands most luxurious cars, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class was one vehicle that had some of the highest levels of brand loyalty and customer satisfaction. Around 46.6% owners would most likely buy or lease one again, so it’s seems like Mercedes is doing something right with these coveted and respected vehicles. The S-Class is a prime example of “you get what you pay for”, and you apparently get a whole lot with these high-end luxury cars.

The Range Rover

1. The Range Rover 

Range Rover’s have consistently proved to be a dominant force within the luxury SUV market, and Experian Automotive found that these vehicles possessed the highest levels of brand loyalty. They found that 48.2% of Range Rover owners would most likely go on to own a second one, which is an extremely impressive retention rate. So despite the stereotype that they are extremely unreliable and complicated, Range Rover owners are very happy with their purchases.
