Spotted: A Rolls-Royce Wraith Drophead Coupe

Rolls-Royce Wraith Drophead Coupe

After much speculation it does seem that there will be a Rolls-Royce Wraith Drophead Coupe rolling out in the near future. Some recent spy shots were taken depicting the vehicle being tested. Test vehicles always have these strange paint jobs and decals to make it difficult for photographers to get a good shot, but if you look closely at the rough you can tell that this is in fact a convertible.

We’ve seen the Phantom be made into the Drophead Coupe and now its baby brother is also getting a transformation. While some may argue that a convertible takes away value from a Rolls, I would disagree as convertibles are absolutely amazing to drive in. Now you can cruise with the highest levels of luxury with the top down with this new car.

Aside from being a convertible, this new model will most likely feature the same internals as the regular Wraith, and there’s nothing wrong with that. It will have a 6.6 liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine that offers 624hp in total. Even though these cars are extremely heavy, the normal Wraith can accelerate from 0 to 60mph in around 4.4 seconds.

Despite the fact that the vehicle lacks a metal roof, which most likely means none of those awesome fiber-optic star lights seen on the regular Rolls-Royce’s, this version will most likely cost more money as all convertibles tend to do. We should expect to see this new Wraith hit dealerships sometime either this year or early next year.
