Mercedes Introduces GLE Coupe as a Competitor to BMW’s X6

Mercedes GLE Coupe

Mercedes has grown to create a large collection of luxury vehicles that span through many different car types. While the company has, for a long time, put the majority of their focus into producing luxury sedans, other competing car manufacturers such as BMW and Audi have surpassed them in releasing a quality luxury SUV type vehicle. Audi has their Q7 model while BMW has put out the X3, X5 and X6 models which all offer the same comfy rides but with more space in the SUV design. Now, Mercedes finally aims to compete with those companies and their cars by bringing their new GLE Coupe to the market.

Mercedes has taken an awfully long time to produce a car like this, especially when seeing how well their competitors have been selling this SUV model throughout the past decade. The new GLE 450 AMG finally opens up a new option for Mercedes lovers everywhere. The vehicle features a V6 biturbo engine that packs 362 horsepower and features a 9 speed automatic transmission. The interior of the car is extremely nice with comfortable seats and plenty of leg room. It also features the most recent technological upgrades with pedestrian detection, cross traffic assist and even a parktronic park assist that is shown through the GLE’s 8 inch dashboard screen.

The new GLE 450 AMG seems to offer a lot of great luxury features traditionally found in Mercedes cars plus more. It’s been far too long for Mercedes to wait in designing and releasing an SUV model car like this, especially when other companies have found such ease in creating and selling their version of the car. While Mercedes is late to the game with this product, it will definitely not take away from the quality of car they have created and they should see immediate sales when the GLE 450 AMG becomes available everywhere.
