Lotus has recently unveiled a brand new vehicle, the Evora 400, and it is shaping up to be one of the most impressive vehicles that they have ever produced. The brand has extensively been known for producing lightweight, mid-to-high end sports cars however with this new one they decided that they wanted to revamp the original Evora and make it a high-performing supercar.
Lotus originally brought the Evora to life in 2008, and there have been a variety of different versions since. But for this new model, Lotus turned the volume of to eleven and delivered the Evora 400. While it does look similar to the regular Evora, this brand new model puts the old ones to shame because it is the fastest and the most powerful vehicle that Lotus has ever made. It took a great deal of planning to deliver this car, and they couldn’t have done a better job.
The Evora 400 features a brand new 3.5-liter supercharged V6 engine that is able to produce 400 hp and 410 Nm of torque. While there are vehicles more powerful on the market, Lotus has always been known for their lightweight cars. Since it’s so light, the Evora 400 can reach a top speed of 186 mph and it can accelerate from 0-60 mph in only 4.1 seconds. That is truly quite impressive, especially when you consider that this vehicle costs around $69,900 dollars.
Outside of the welcomed performance enhancements, we see many other notable changes on the Evora 400 as well. Lotus gave the vehicle a brand new facelift and it now looks more aggressive. They’ve made the cabin much more premium, they put in a new aluminum chassis, added larger breaks, included a limited-slip rear differential (a first), added lighter wheels, and have improved the clutch and transmission among other improvements. This is probably the most polished and one of the nicest Lotus’s that we have ever seen, in addition to it being their fastest. All in all, the new Evora 400 is a fantastic sounding vehicle that has much to offer drivers at a relatively attractive price point, considering what this vehicle can do.
