A Look at the 9,000 RPM Ferrari 458 Speciale A

The brand new Ferrari 458 Speciale A is a limited edition of the 458 that is meant to, as Ferrari describes it, “celebrate the dazzling success of the various versions of the 458”. Over the course of the history of all of the 458’s, the various models of cars have seen a multitude of awards and always received high praise. The 458 Speciale A is a terrific supercar and an exceptional example of what makes Ferrari the best at what it does.

This limited edition version of the 458 interestingly enough, comes in yellow with a white and blue racing stripe, as opposed to the traditional Ferrari Red. Ferrari recently unveiled this car at its “60 years of Ferrari in North America” event it had recently in Beverly Hills, California. This supercar is outfitted with a 4.5 litre V8 engine that is Ferraris “most powerful naturally aspirated V8 ever”. That engine pumps out 605 CV with a max RPM of 9,000. That engine can power this Ferrari from 0-60 miles per hour in just under 3 seconds making this car extremely quick. The 458 Speciale A is also outfitted with a 7-speed F1 dual-clutch transmission. The car also features a premium, light-weight retractable hard top. The idea of convertibles are great but I personally hate the appearance of soft tops, so Ferraris retractable hard top is very nice; you would have no idea it was a convertible with the top up. Ferrari has also engineered the vehicle with great aerodynamics that make the car extremely sleek; they really know a thing or two about style. The interior of the vehicle is extremely sporty and is made from Alcantara and carbon-fibre. The interior colors are blue, black, and yellow matching the exterior colors of the vehicles. Only 499 of these cars are being made, which makes them very limited. Ferrari has not announced a price yet but one can guess that it will cost more than the regular 458 Speciale which costs about $300,000.
