The Lamborghini Huracan arrives in PH

The Lamborghini Huracan

Lamborghini has recently just made their Huracan supercar available in the Philippines today. The Huracan is Lamborghini’s entry level supercar that came out earlier in 2014 and was made to replace the highly successful Lamborghini Gallardo. PGA Cars in the city of Manilla, which is the official dealer of Lamborghini in the Philippines, recently unveiled the vehicle at their showroom. The head of Lamborghini’s Southeast Asian division, Sebastien Henry, unveiled the new vehicle during a conference.

The Lamborghini Huracan is certainly a fantastic vehicle and a solid upgrade from the Gallardo. The base model Huracan has a larger 5.2 liter V10 engine that packs in 610 horsepower, which is more powerful that the best version of the Gallardo that Lamborghini made. Lamborghini also made the vehicle much lighter in weight and chose to use a combination of aluminum and carbon fiber for the chassis of this supercar. Lamborghini also chose to throw in a very nice, brand new seven-speed transmission. The car also has bunch of technological features like switch between driving modes such as “Road”, “Sport”, and “Race” mode. So the fact that this car is lighter, more powerful, and handles better than the Gallardo is pretty impressive.

Back when Lamborghini was producing Gallardo’s, they were shipping around 2,000 units on average per year. However the Huracan sold more that 3,000 cars in the first year alone. So it seems that this vehicle is going to be a lot more popular. The car costs around $240,000 in you were to buy it in the United States, but rumors have it that PGA is going to sell it for around $444,00 -$578,000 (ouch) depending on the version, and customers specifications. That price increase its most likely due to various import taxes that the vehicle has to cover, in addition to a variety of other factors. While that is still a huge price increase, the Huracan is still a great car.
