The Lamborghini Aventador Limo Could be a Reality Soon

Limousines are typically reserved for special moments like weddings or proms and VIPs, however believe it or not there are some limousines that are pretty atypical, like the one pictured above. While typically limousines are horribly performing vehicles, they still make a statement. It is a cool feeling when you arrive to a party in a limousine as everyone looks to see who will come out. Unfortunately they never make a statement, as say a supercar would. Until now.

A British limousine service,  Cars For Stars, that is known for making exotic limousines out of luxury sedans and sports cars and for renting out supercars, has gotten their hands on a Lamborghini Aventador and plan to make it into a limousine, once the get the funds in order. Limousines and supercars are two entirely different types of vehicles (obviously), and the thought of combining the two angers supercar purists of all kinds. However, those who want a truly unique limousine experience that will surely “wow” any onlookers, than this Aventador limousine is for you. It is important to realize that this will not be some sort of limousine kit that looks like an Aventador, it will be a real, 100% authentic Lamborghini Aventador (with some slight modifications) once it is produced. Cars For Stars literally plans on cutting an Aventador is half, and then stretch it out. They ensure that they only used the finest and highest quality materials when making the limousine, as to not “insult” the tradition of the Lamborghini. If you think that the company cannot pull this feat of limousine engineering off, then you should probably take a look at their Ferrari limousine.

Given the fact that this is indeed in fact, a real Lamborghini Aventador, it is arguably one of the best spec’d limousines out there given its supercar origins. The Aventador packs a massive 6.5 litre V12 engine that provides the vehicle with around 700 horse power. A normal Aventador achieves 0-60 in about 3 seconds, however I cannot imagine this to be the case with the Limousine version. The original Aventador weighs around 4,000 pounds without anyone in it, so this longer version with say, eight people in will make the car a lot slower. Still I would bet that this is probably the fastest limousine, or “superlimo” if you will.

An normal Aventador starts at around $400,000 dollars and this probably costs more to produce given the modifications that the car undertook. However I can’t imagine that it holds the value as well as a normal Aventador, although that is just my guess. The most iconic feature on this limousine, despite being a Lamborghini, is that the car has 4 scissor doors, instead of the normal two. So bonus points for the “wow” factor that this crazy vehicle has as it look like it could somehow sustain flight.

The interior of the vehicle is nothing short of supercar luxury. It has a large L-shaped couch that is made of high quality, stain and liquid resistance leather (in the inevitable event that Patron or some other form of liquor is spilled on the couch) that matches the exact tint of the orange Aventador. Oh yeah and all the seats are heated too. Additionally there will be multiple plasma screens, iPhone and Android docks, a surround sound system, party lights, and a mini bar.

Cars for Stars is currently looking for buyers to finance the vehicle, but I imagine that it will not be long now until the vehicle is made. According to Cars for Stars the company could make this car “easily materialise into a reality with the support and investment of a willing and passionate sponsor”. They want sponsors so bad that the company said they would even name the car after you at no extra cost, and will slap your Twitter handle on the side of the car for 12 months.

So when this vehicle inevitably sees the light of day, it will surely turn heads. However it will be interesting to see how the vehicle performs. Turning on a Limousine is difficult enough, to say nothing about turning around completely. The cars handle so awkwardly. Since they are also so large and heavy, they take a hit in terms of miles per gallon. The normal Aventador gets an abysmal 11 miles per gallon in the city, and 18 on the highway. So I would imagine this car making a lot of stops at gas stations. Still if you want to make a flashy entrance, then this is the limousine for you.
