Italian Police Adds a Lamborghini Huracan to Its Fleet

Do you ever find yourself on the road taking notice of the new car models your local police are using? If you’ve been around long enough you’ve seen the traditional, ho-hum police car evolve into a Dodge Charger, Ford Explorer or some other type of car that is FAR better than the old school version. And then there was the Italian police force and their new “cruiser”…

According to reports, the Italian State Police has added a brand spanking new Lamborghini Huracan LP 610-4. The Huracan will replace the Gallardo, which has been discontinued. Lamborghini actually donated the vehicle to the police to replace the Gallardo, which had been in service for over six years. Italian speeders good luck – the Huracan can easily go 202 mph. It should be in service by the end of this year.

How sick does the ‘Huracan Polizia’ look? The vehicle has been somewhat modified to improve its aerodynamics for traveling at high speeds. It will be equipped with other technology that will help the Italian state police catch bad guys. Remember how I said we’ve been noticing the new models of police vehicles on the road. If I drive by a police Lambo – you better believe I’ve going to notice for quite a bit.
