Five Pagani Models That Will Make Your Head Spin

Pagani Huayra

When you’re in the market for a high-end supercar, there are some specific criteria that you want the car to meet. If you’re prepared to drop over $1 million dollars on a car, it better be the best there is. Ideally, you probably want a supercar that is extremely fast, lightweight, one that looks good, produced in limited numbers, and probably built by Italians. If any automobile brand could meet all of those qualifications, it would probably be Pagani. Established in 1992 in Italy, Pagani is about as high-end as it gets when it comes to car manufacturers. Their vehicles are always on the cutting-edge, extremely expensive, and produced in limited numbers. So out of all the cars that they make or have made, which ones are the absolute coolest? Pagani only produces just two different types of vehicles, but they come in a few different flavors and versions. So let’s check out five of their best cars.

Pagani Zhonda Roadster

The Zhonda Roadster

The Zhonda was the first car that Pagani released, and most of the vehicles on our list will be some iteration of the Zhonda. It’s like how Bugatti has 30 different versions of their Veyron. The first Zhonda came out it 1999, but we are going to look at the Zhonda Roadser which was released in 2003. This was the first convertible from the company, and it was an instant hit. The vehicle featured a updated Mecerdes-Benz 7.3-liter V12 that produced 547 hp. It was faster, more powerful, and handled better than the original Zhonda. Able to achieve speeds close to 200 mph and with a 0-60 mph time of 3.7 seconds, the Zhonda Roadster was quite the convertible. Only just 40 examples were produced.

Zhonda F

The Zhonda F

Following the success of the Roadster, Pagani followed up with the Zhonda F in 2005. Each iteration of the Zhonda looks at the previous model’s shortcomings, and then attempts to improve upon them. While the Zhonda F had the same engine as the Roadster, Pagani/Mercedes-AMG were able to tune the vehicle to proceed 650 hp. Pagani also made the car lighter, put in a better transmission, improved the suspension, and made other changes to make the Zhonda F even better. 0-60 mph is achieved in 3.6 seconds, but the vehicle could now achieve speeds of 214 mph. The Zhonda F was also the first car ever to feature bodywork in natural surface carbon fiber. Pagani would make just 25 of these cars in total.

Zhonda Tricolore

The Zhonda Tricolore

Released in 2010, the Zhonda Tricolore was a limited-edition version of the Zhonda. Only three vehicles were made, and they were priced at $1.2 million each. The car was based on the Zhonda Cinque, which was released just after the Zhonda F. This Tricolore model had another Mercedes-AMG V12 engine, but this time it pumped out 670 hp in total. It was recorded to achieve a top speed of 217 mph and it can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 3.2 seconds flat.

Zhonda Revolucion

The Zhonda Revolucion

The Revolucion was the last iteration of the Zhonda that Pagani produced, so it’s arguably the best as it features the most amount of improvements and features. Again, Pagani used a V12 engine from Mercedes-AMG, but this time it was a 6.0-liter. However that engine had a much higher output of a whopping 800 hp and Pagani managed to decrease the weight as well. The car would top out at 217 mph, and with an acceleration time of just 2.6 seconds from 0-60 mph, the Revolucion is certainly a hypercar.

Pagani Huayra 2

The Huayra

Pagani has since discontinued the Zhonda and has replaced it with this bad boy, the Huayra. First unveiled in 2011, The Huayra features many distinctive changes over the Zhonda. We notice a newer design, and in my opinion, the Huayra looks a lot better than the Zhonda. The Huayra features all the cutting-edge features you would come to expect in a car that costs over $1.6 million dollars, and then some. The vehicle offers a 6.0-liter, bi-turbo V12 from Mercedes-AMG that delivers 730 hp. It’s made from carbon fiber, it has an advanced driving computer system, it has a transverse sequential seven speed gearbox, and all of the high-end features seen in cars of this nature. Since the vehicle was released back in 2011, we expect Pagani to release an even better version of the Huayra sometime soon. But as of currently, this is the only car that you can buy new from Pagani, and it is by no means “bad”.
