The Ferrari Sergio Roadster is So Exclusive Ferrari Has to Invite you to Buy It

Ferrari Sergio Roadster

I can only imagine what it would be like to own a Ferrari. The performance, the appearance, and the respect are probably just a few things an owner would experience owning one of theses supercars. Well imagine what it would be like to own a Ferrari where the company deems it okay for you to own one. Ferrari has recently just introduced a super rare and limited model vehicle that you had to be invited personally by Ferrari to be a potential buyer. Enter: The Sergio Roadster.

This is not the first time that Ferrari has created a super limited vehicle that is produced in limited numbers, however it may be the first time that you had to be selected to purchase one. The Ferrari Sergio Roadster is a concept car that was created through a partnership between Ferrari and Pininfarina, an Italian design firm. The vehicle has most of the internals of the 458 Spider: 4.5 litre V8, 570 horse power, 0-60 in 3.4 seconds, and a top speed of 200 miles per hour. That being said, it looks drastically different.

The car has a very interesting design that is unlike anything Ferrari has produced, but that is to be expected since this is a concept car. Since it is a concept car is is missing some important features. For one the car is constantly in convertible mode, it has no windshield, and there are no side mirrors.

There are only six of these cars being produced and they have already sold out. Ferrari extended the invite out to a select few of hardcore Ferrari fans and VIP’s to purchase the car, and those people liked what they saw. The car is estimated to cost around $3 million dollars, making it one of the most expensive Ferraris of all time.

Ferrari is still ironing out some details with the car, like how to make it street legal…since there are no mirrors, however I am sure they will figure out something. While this car is extremely rare and expensive, it personally does not do anything for me. Yes, if you were invited to buy one you get all the bragging rights about how Ferrari likes you so much. However I am not fond of the looks of the car, and it doesn’t seem very practical. I’d rather have a normal 458 or even settle for a California (I kid), but then again who wouldn’t?
