The Most Expensive Lamborghini in the World: The Vedeno Roadster

A

Yesterday, we posted an article about the world’s most expensive car. The 1963 Ferrari came in at a whopping $53 million. The luxury brand plus vintage model pushed the price through the roof… Lamborghini is another luxury brand, but we’re not looking at vintage today – we’re looking at the most expensive Lambo on the road right now.

Unveiled last year, the Lamborghini Vedeno Roadster does a cool 221 mph and costs $5.5 million. The limited-edition hypercar has been designed like a race car, but made completely street legal. It is one of the most-extreme vehicles ever built. The lightweight, carbon-fiber vehicle was first made with a hardtop version that was priced a little cheaper (and when we say cheaper we mean a little under $5 million). In total, there were three versions of the hardtop produced and there was only 9 versions of the model without a roof. A representative from Lamborghini speaking about the car said,

“The Veneno Roadster is extreme and guarantees an intense driving experience – because an open means truly open. There is no roof, just a strong rollover bar for optimum safety. The design is focused on optimum aerodynamics and stability through fast corners – with handling akin to that of a racing prototype”

The car was launched at Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary party last year and set to hit the market this year. It’s something out of the bat mobile and looks absolutely devastating on the road.
