The Best Ferrari Stories of 2014

Ferrari Factory Tour

Ferrari puts out top tier cars that look beautiful and pack a massive punch in their engines. Throughout the years these cars have become more and more desirable and they continue to innovate with style and technology. With so much going on, it makes sense that Ferrari would be in the headlines from time to time, so here are the best Ferrari stories of 2014 so far.

4. A Ferrari Evoluzione went up for sale

The Ferrari Evoluzione is an enhanced Ferrari Enzo. This car had increased performance on the already ridiculously fast Enzo and boosted the horsepower from 789 to 848. It can go from zero to 60 in 2.5 seconds and reaches 250 miles per hour in less than 40 seconds. It is the fastest Ferrari ever produced and one popped up and went on sale back in early July.

3. 1965 Ferrari 275 goes to auction

Towards the end of July this year, it was announced that a 1965 Ferrari 275 GTB/C was going to be up for auction on August 16, 2014. The car is a classic that is extremely rare because only three of the type were ever made. It was expected to sell for around $34 million.

2. Ferrari 250 GTO sells for $34 Million

Exactly a month ago on August 15th, a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO, one of the very rare Ferarri models, was sold for $34.65 million. The auction was held in California and the price was record setting for a classic car at a public auction. Supposedly the car is worth much more than it sold for, and last year one sold privately for $52 million.

1. Ferrari prank proving women care about money

A social experiment was done last year to see if women initially choose men for their cars rather than personality. A 2013 Ferrari was enough to get multiple women to leave their friends and boyfriends to take a spin in it. The experiment was attempting to prove that money and luxury items makes it easy to pick up girls.
