Ralph Lauren Unveils the $4,995 Limited Edition “Vanderbilt Mixologist Box”

Ralph Lauren Vanderbilt Mixologist Box

A mixologist box and set is the centerpiece of any cocktail aficionados bar or office, and they can often get quite expensive and luxurious. Take Ralph Lauren’s new Vanderbilt Mixologist Box, for example. The set offers virtually everything you’d need to craft Old Fashions and Martinis, minus the ingredients of course, and it’s costs $4,995 dollars.

Able to completely fold in on itself for easy transportation, the Vanderbilt Mixologist Box is the ideal bar accessory for either your home den or when you’re on-the-go. The box starts with a construction of beautiful rosewood from Italy with a glossy finish and they have added polished nickel hardware to complete the haute and professional look.

Made in Italy, the box opens up to reveal a few compartments. On the inside it has a 24% lead crystal ice bucket, a Laguiole corkscrew, a cutting board made from hickory, a maplewood muddler, a bar spoon, a jigger, a cocktail knife, cocktail picks, a holder, ice tongs, and of course a silver-plated stainless steel Boston shaker complete with a strainer as well. It even comes with a cocktail recipe book bound in crocodile leather. If Don Draper from Madmen was a real person, he would probably own one of these.

The downside? Well not only does the Vanderbilt Mixologist Box cost $4,995 dollars, Ralph Lauren will only be producing just 100 examples in total. So not only is it extremely expensive, you’ll probably have a difficult time ordering one even if you can afford it. In fact as I’m writing this article, there are only two left according to their website. If you’re interested, then you have to act fast.
