Most celebrities that are out there are not only famous and usually talented, but they’re often very wealthy as well. This obviously comes to no ones surprise, as actors, famous musicians, and well-known businesspeople earn considerably more money than the rest of us. If you are a Hollywood A-lister, for example, you are probably worth a few million dollars and can afford to live a life of luxury. You can buy large mansions in Malibu, drive a sports car, and drop incredible amounts of cash on designer clothing. WE often think that celebrities are living the good life, and have it easy. And sure, that’s often more true than not. Most celebrities live in large homes , eat at the best restaurants, and drive desirable cars. However despite many celebrities large net worths, some of them can be cheap from time to time. Whether they drive a Prius or wear simple t-shirts, celebrities can be cheap too. Some say they are just frugal, but others think that maybe they are being a bit to cheap. So let’s look at a list of a few different ways that celebrities can be cheap.
They eat fast food
You would think prominent actors and wealthy VIP’s would only eat out at the most exclusive restaurants around, but sometimes everyone just wants a Big Mac (I’m not sure why). There are plenty of different celebrities that have been caught by paparazzi ordering food from establishments like Burger King or McDonalds. From Justin Timberlake to Selena Gomez, there have been plenty of wealthy celebrities that eat out at fast food joints. The could easily afford a dinner at Michelin-starred restaurants, but every now and then they opt for some chicken nuggets. I’m not wealthy or a celebrity, and even I don’t eat at fast food restaurants at all. Come on guys!

The clothing they wear
Not all wealthy celebrities concern themselves with wearing clothing from top designers, some just prefer to wear “regular” clothing. Simon Cowell, for example, has a net worth of around $550 million dollars. He’s certainly very wealthy, and does embody the celebrity lifestyle. He’s been known to drive and own cars like the Bugatti Veyron and the Rolls-Royce Phantom among many others. Yet how many times have we seen the man making public appearances wearing just a white t-shirt and jeans? Pretty often. Steve Jobs did this as well when he was alive. He was certainly very wealthy, yet during every Apple announcement he used to wear a black turtle neck, jeans, and some New Balances.

The cars they drive
Despite being incredibly wealthy, there are many celebrities that drive fairly frugal and inexpensive cars. Now sure, plenty of celebs drive Ferraris or BMWs, but there are a few that drive “normal” cars. That picture above? Yeah, that’s Mark Zuckerberg getting into a Honda Fit. He’s also known to drive a Volkswagen GTI. The GTI is a great car, and one of my personal favorites. However, if I were a multi-billionaire like Zuckerberg, you can bet that I would be driving a Lamborghini. But hey, it’s their money I suppose.

Not tipping their servers
Most people tip their waiters and waitresses when eating out, as that is how servers make the majority of their income in the United States. You would imagine that millionaire celebrities would leave some great tips for their servers, but there are plenty of stories out there of various celebrities leaving small tips. From Madonna reportedly leaving an $18 dollar tip on a $400 dollar bill to Sean Penn apparently not tipping at all one time, there are plenty of stories out there about celebrities not tipping well, or leaving no tip at all.

How they choose to get married
Many high-profile and wealthy celebrities drop incredible amounts of money on their wedding ceremonies when they finally tie the know. You’ve heard the stories about trips to France and what not, but some celebrities opt for the more affordable route. It’s been reported that Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard got married in a court house for $145 dollars. Their combined net worth is a few million dollars, but they opted for the quick, easy, and affordable wedding route. It just goes to show you, even the richest can choose to be cheap.
