The company was initially launched as a vehicle from which men and women could purchase shoes online, but it’s grown into a multi-million dollar site that was eventually acquired by Amazon. In recent years, the company has introduced the VIP program, which benefits those who join in a number of ways. Be aware, however, that there is currently a waiting list to become a Zappos VIP.
Free Next Day Shipping
The biggest and most exclusive benefit to becoming a Zappos VIP is next day shipping – free of charge. Every time you place an order with Zappos, it’ll be shipped directly to you at no charge so that it arrives the following day. Be careful, however, to order early in the day. Orders placed after a certain time will not be processed and shipped until the following business day.
Free Returns
Another perk of being a VIP member is free returns. Say you’re not sure what size you need and you want those shoes immediately; order two pair in different sizes, choose the one that best fits and return the other pair at absolutely no cost to you. It’s a great perk as so many other companies make you pay to return items you don’t keep.
Earn Points
As a VIP, you can leave a comment or review of any product and earn points and badges for that review. Those points and badges accumulate on your account and eventually turn into prizes such as discounts, percentages off an order and even free items.
Special VIPs
If you’re a special VIP, you can even participate in different programs and contests. This allows you to win big prizes such as free items and more. This page is only available to those who qualify. The special VIP section also does several giveaways a month, which means you might actually win free prizes just for signing up.
Special Service
Zappos VIP members have access to a special phone number and contact page that allows them to receive special service. What does this mean? As a VIP, you can call this number and receive instant assistance placing orders, making returns and many other benefits known only by VIPs.
