You’re sailing through the Caribbean on Disney’s newest ship, and someone dressed as Edna Mode hands you a three-layer cookies ‘n cream cookie. Welcome to the Disney Destiny, where every meal feels like stepping onto a movie set—and the food is genuinely worth writing home about.

Dinner Shows That’ll Make You Forget You’re Eating

The Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King is a full theatrical production. While live musicians retell Simba’s journey through songs like “Circle of Life” and “He Lives in You,” diners feast on dishes that blend traditional African flavors with crowd-pleasers.

The menu features dishes like Nala’s Roasted Pork Tenderloin with black-eyed bean-chorizo casserole and fried yuca, Pan-seared Berbere-spiced Roasted Chicken with Jollof rice and fried plantains, and Cape Malay Shrimp Curry with cumin-coconut curry sauce and butter roti.

The restaurant’s windows turn from sunrise to sunset as guests dine, and the room’s focal piece features tiered risers designed to resemble African drums. This isn’t background entertainment—it’s Broadway-caliber storytelling where the food tastes as good as the performance sounds.

For Marvel fans, Worlds of Marvel delivers a different kind of spectacle. Guests enjoy American fare while watching “Avengers: Quantum Encounter,” with Spider-Man making live, in-person appearances during the meal. The rotational dining system means guests visit three different themed restaurants throughout their cruise, with the same servers following along to learn preferences and dietary needs.

Drinks That Belong In A Marvel Movie

The Sanctum, Disney Cruise Line’s first Doctor Strange-inspired lounge, takes cocktails to another dimension—literally. The Vapors of Valtorr features Grey Goose Altius Vodka, ginger beer, fresh lime juice, and butterfly pea flower syrup topped with berry-flavored bubbles. The Distortion Effect comes in a specialty glass that makes the drink look like a perpetual whirlpool, while The Darkhold combines Amaro Averna, Patron XO Cafe, and salted caramel Ethel M Chocolates.

The circular window behind the bar mimics the New York Sanctum’s iconic window, complete with color-changing backlighting. Some cocktails arrive with tableside performances by “mixology sorcerers,” turning every order into an event. Cask & Cannon serves up pirate-themed rum experiences that go beyond typical cruise ship fare. Dead Man’s Chest, designed for two guests, features Zacapa 23 Solera Rum, pineapple, lime, agave nectar, and coconut froth, served with gold coins for full immersion.

Sweet Treats That Edna Mode Would Approve

Edna A La Mode Sweets proves that Disney’s Imagineers obsess over every detail. The shop features character-inspired cupcakes, including Purple Velvet Sponge Cake with white chocolate mousse, Double Chocolate Fudge Cake with chocolate truffle mousse, and Orange-Almond Cake with raspberry mousse. Guests can order a Signature Sundae in a Jack-Jack Ice Cream Souvenir Bowl for $12.95, which includes three scoops of ice cream, five toppings, whipped cream, and a cherry.

The shop features twelve gelato flavors, including specialty options like Frozone Lemon Blueberry and Edna A La Mode Cookies ‘n Cream. Equipment from Edna’s fictional super-suit lab has been repurposed as sweet-making machinery, and sculptures of Edna and Jack-Jack create perfect photo opportunities between bites. The Disney Destiny proves that cruise ship dining has evolved far beyond buffet lines and mediocre pizza. Every venue tells a story, and thankfully, the food lives up to the theatrics.
