Get a Peek of the Inside of the Newly Renovated Ashford Castle

Since there is only one Prince William and Kate Middleton, the rest of the world will have to do only pretending to be royalty. Fortunately for the commoners of the world, the gorgeous Ashford Castle in Ireland makes this an easy feat. The new owners of the historic castle are currently providing the beautiful estate with a head to toe makeover in the form of a luxe renovation.

The castle was built centuries ago and parts of it have come and gone. Some portions of the castle are much newer than others, and other parts of this historic landmark date back as far as 1228. For this reason, the renovation must include a complete overhaul of the building’s infrastructure. Architects and restoration specialists will work hard to preserve the original beauty of the castle, but they will have to replace stone, windows and the roof.

Additionally, the castle will get a few 21st century upgrades, including WiFi and central air conditioning, which are just a few of the simple things that make guests want to come and visit the castle when they’re in Ireland. The project was slated to be completed in three phases, and the third is almost complete. The new owners of the castle are preparing to open it as one of the world’s most upscale luxury hotels.

When the hotel is completed in March 2015, guests can expect to see a state-of-the-art spa, cigar terrace and indoor pool. The renovation will also include a cinema and a billiard room for entertainment purposes. The luxury hotel has been in business for 75 years, and this remodel is an impressive one. It’s estimated that the number of people looking to book a room during the grand re-opening will be significant, which is a great concept for the owners who so want to turn this old castle into a modern beauty.
