A $100 Million New York City Mansion is “On Sale” by Corcoran

On any given day sellers will drop the price of a home that’s been sitting on the market a few weeks. However, their idea of a drop is to lower the price a few thousand dollars. In New York City, however, the sellers of 12 East 69th Street in the coveted Upper East Side neighborhood have dropped the price of their lovely home several million dollars. That’s right; a price drop of $15 million. The vast majority of the world cannot even list their home for a portion of this much money, and these sellers are willingly dropping the price this much.

However, this is no ordinary home. It’s a mansion in every possible aspect. With six levels and 20,000 square feet of living space, this is a special piece of real estate. The home is for sale for $100 million as of today. The luxury townhome features 19 rooms. Of those 19 rooms, 7 are bedrooms, 6 are full baths and 3 rooms are half baths. The home was built in 1884, and renovated completely in the last few years.

With the renovation, Wall Street investor Vincent Viola added radiant heat flooring in the entire home. It also features high-end kitchen and bathroom amenities and a 12’ screen in the home theater. There is the addition of a professional chef’s kitchen and it also comes with building amenities. Building amenities include a 23-foot swimming pool as well as a roof deck that’s 2,000 square feet in size and can be used for private parties and events. However, with a home this size, you don’t need a rooftop deck to have amazing parties when you can just use one of the massive rooms inside the luxury home. The price just dropped from $114 million to $98 million, which is a virtual steal for a home of this nature in this location.
