The Most Expensive Cereals on the Market

cereal

Cereal is expensive. It’s not a big secret that a box of cereal can cost as much as $7 in some places. Of course, it’s always difficult to tell exactly which cereal is the most expensive, considering prices differ in different parts of the country. For example, a box of cereal in New York City might cost double what the same box of cereal costs in Florida. However, when you average out the most expensive cereals on the market, five top the list no matter what.

Nature’s Path Organic Crunchy Cereals — $33

There are several varieties of this type of cereal as far as flavor is concerned, but they’re all the same price. This price is high, but it’s also for a package of 6. Most other cereals in a package of 6 cost less than $16 for the entire package.  This makes it one of the most expensive on the market.

Cascadian Farm Organic Granola — $33

Organic food is typically more expensive than other foods, even though some like to argue that it’s not. While it’s not always the most expensive, it’s rarely ever the least expensive as this package of 6 cereals proves.

Kashi Golean Hearty Oatmeal — $32

Kashi is good, but it’s expensive. This 6-pack of cereal is expensive in comparison to other packages with the same quantity. What makes this particular cereal so expensive is the fact that it comes in much smaller servings than others. So while another box of cereal might be the same price, it’s got at least double the amount.

Bear Naked Granola — $30

For a pack of 6 boxes of this cereal, it’s going to cost you $30. That’s double what other cereals cost in a package of 6. The reason is that granola is just more expensive. It’s healthier, which makes it a better buy as far as your health is concerned.

Udi’s Granola — $29

A package of six bags of Udi’s Granola costs $29. It’s not the most expensive cereal on the market, but it is close to it. While it’s always a good idea to go for granola over other less healthy cereal, it’s almost an investment to pay this much for cereal.
