Five Highlights at This Year’s Savour Gourmet Festival

The Savour Gourmet Festival is something that people look forward to each and every year. Each year the festival highlights some of the world’s most amazing items, and this year will be no exception. With so much to look forward to at the festival, just one small thing that everyone appreciates is the complimentary admission into the festival. Hosted by Martell, the most famous and most luxurious Cognac house in the history of Cognac, this is a festival filled with the best of the best. The Martell Gourmet Passport is available to all visitors, and it allows you to get to know what you’re experiencing, where the savory tastes, smells and textures will take you, and what to expect.

In 2016, the experiences are more upscale and decadent than ever before. What you can look forward to this year is an explosion of senses like every year. The highlights of the festival this year, though, is more than any one person can take in.

Jason’s Gourmet Market

Always a highlight, this Alaskan seafood market is the best in the world. An aphrodisiacs dream, you’ll experience more than 20 different types of oyster. Each one savorier, richer and more self-indulgent  than the one before. That’s not all, though, as you can imagine all the best meats the world has to offer, as well as a cheese room with more than 200 different samples.

More dishes than before

No one wants to admit it, but they cannot escape the deliciousness that this festival has to offer. This year, more than 30 different dishes are available so that you can build your own culinary dream come true. The bad news is that choosing between all 30 is not the easiest thing you will ever do.

40 wine labels

Food is good, but wine is better. This year there are more than 40 different upscale labels to try. If you cannot pick just one, don’t worry. There are plenty of bottles to go around so that everyone can try a bit of each. We simply recommend you either find a way to get home with someone else or you walk. With so much savory decadence to choose from, just one label will never cut it.

Hokkaido ice cream

A food festival with the most amazing food in the world as well as some of the most amazing wine in the world is not even remotely complete until dessert is brought in. Flown in from Hokkaido, this ice cream is the most delicious. People come from all over the world just to savor the taste of this handmade ice cream with the most delicate flavors imaginable.

Celebrity chefs

There’s nothing wrong with a little celebrity, especially when that celebrity is a chef. In 2016, the festival chef lineup includes the likes of Eric Chong and Alvin Leung. Eric Chong is the Masterchef Canada Season 1 champ and Alvin Leung is the chef at a 3-star Michelin restaurant called Bo Innovation in Hong Kong.
