Louis Vuitton Debuts Limited Edition Magazine, The Book

Louis Vuitton the Book

Fashion designer turned magazine editor and book publisher? It’s not something you hear regularly, but it does happen. At the moment, it’s happening to famed designer Louis Vuitton. The French fashion house is currently in the process of releasing their new biannual magazine called, The Book. Louis Vuitton recently made the announcement that the French fashion house will produce a magazine twice a year that will feature the hottest styles and trends in the world. This comes just on the heels of the Louis Vuitton Fashion Photography Album’s release by publisher Rizzoli recently in NYC.

Michael Burke, the CEO and chairman of Louis Vuitton, is going to add a new title to his resume; publisher. According to Women’s Wear Daily, the CEO is going to publish the magazine himself, and it’s set to hit the shelves of stores in October. The Book’s first edition is going to cover Charlotte Gainsbourg, an interview with Catherine Deneuve and an Icelandic photo shoot for men. It’s going ot have 126 pages of sheer high-end fashion and style.

What’s most exciting about this first edition is the fact that there is an exclusive article that tells the full story surrounding the Louis Vuitton vintage Keepall monogram canvas, the oldest of which is 31-years-old.

If you aren’t a native French speaker, worry not. The Book is being produced in 11 different languages and it’s going to feature far more than just a CEO as editor. The company has tapped into the work of Sylvia Jorif, editor, and art director Yorgo Tloupas for help in producing this iconic magazine. Of course, in true Louis Vuitton fashion, the first edition of The Book is being delivered only to a select few “high-end” customers across the globe, which makes it a limited edition magazine. We’re assuming the biggest spenders will get a copy.
