Fendi, a subsidiary of LVMH, is an Italian luxury fashion house that specializes in fur, ready-to-wear, leather goods, shoes, fragrances, eyewear, timepieces, and accessories and is renowned for its men’s and women’s leather handbags. Founded in 1925 by Edoardo and Adele Fendi in Rome, Italy as a fur and leather shop, Fendi has since grown to be one of the largest and most famous fashion houses in the entire world. Since 1946, the second generation of Fendi sisters have begun to enter the company, revitalizing its image and overall appeal. Famous German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld (pictured above)–who has a net worth of $125 million–joined Fendi in 1965 and has since become the Creative Director of fur and women’s ready-to-wear. Silvia Venturini Fendi (pictured above), the daughter of one of the second generation sisters, joined in 1994 and is currently the Creative Director for accessories and men’s wear.
