The Most Expensive Dyson Vacuums

James Dyson Launches The Ball

Founded in 1993 by James Dyson, Dyson Ltd is an innovative British technology company that designs and manufacturers hairdryers, heaters, bladeless fans, and vacuum cleaners. Famously known for its extremely efficient and progressive vacuums, Dyson recently announced the release of its first robotic, Roomba-like vacuum cleaner, the 360 Eye. The robotic 360 Eye was unveiled in Tokyo, Japan earlier this month and is equipped with a 360-degree panoramic camera and infrared sensors to look at an entire room and determine its position–making it the smartest robot vacuum on the market. The Dyson 360 Eye will have a Japanese limited release at the end of the year and isn’t planned to hit North America until fall 2015. The robot vacuum’s price has yet to be released, but in the meantime, here is a list of the most expensive Dyson vacuums on the market arranged by MSRP.

5. DC65 Multi Floor – $399.99

The DC65 Multi Floor upright vacuum is engineered for the toughest of tasks. Featuring a self-adjusting cleanerhead and a reengineered brush-bar, the DC65 Multi Floor is able to clean both carpets and hard floors throughout the home. Like other modern upright Dyson models, the DC65 Muti Floor uses the latest Ball technology, which helps make steering along edges and awkward spots easier.

4. DC59 Animal – $399.99

Dyson’s second most expensive cordless model, the DC59 Animal vacuum cleaner is powered by the Dyson digital motor V6. The 350-watt motor, two Tier Radial cyclones, and a re-engineered nickel manganese cobalt battery combine to provide extremely powerful suction–enabling the DC59 Animal to suck up as much dust as any corded vacuum cleaner. The lightweight vacuum also includes a mini motorized tool and a motorized head with carbon fiber filaments.

3. DC39 Animal – $399.99

The Dyson DC39 Animal canister vacuum cleaner features Dyson’s latest Radial Root Cyclone technology with remodeled airways to maximize suction power. The vacuum’s Ball technology allows it to turn on the spot and follow with greater precision and control. The DC39 Animal comes with a Triggerhead tool so there is no need to adjust between floor types. The Tangle-free Turbine tool helps make this model engineered for pet hair pickup without loss of suction.

2. DC59 Motorhead – $449.99

Dyson’s most popular–and most expensive–cordless model, the DC59 Motorhead, out-cleans the top five best-selling full-size vacuums across carpets and hard floors. This cordless vacuum cleaner is also powered by a 350-watt digital V6 motor and features two Tier Radial cyclones, a re-engineered battery, and the latest motorized head with a direct drive motor located inside the brush bar that delivers 75% more power than the DC59 Animal.

1. DC65 Animal Complete – $549.99

Dyson’s most expensive vacuum cleaner model, the DC65 Animal Complete, cleans better than any other vacuum across carpets and hard floors. According to Dyson, this upright model has been built to achieve “twice the suction as any other vacuum.” The DC65 Animal Complete features a self-adjusting cleaner head, a re-engineered brushbar, remodeled cyclones, Ball technology, a Tangle-free Turbine tool, a soft dusting brush, a multi-angle brush, and a stiff bristle brush.
