Ecuador might be a small country in South America that only consists of about 15 million residents, but that doesn’t mean that it still doesn’t have some nice properties that are currently listed for sale. Boasting beautiful scenery, rich history a tremendous cultural experience, amazing food and fairly warm—though rainy—weather throughout the winter, it is a great place to potentially find your next home. So for those who are currently in the market for a new crib, take a look at some of these places that I was able to find, because, assuming you have the cash to purchase one of them, they could be all yours.

10. Fantastic Ocean View Homesites – $20,000 USD

Admittedly, this $20,000 might not be the most desirable property on this list due to its lack of development, but with 232 acres which is located right on the beach in Jama Manabi, there is no other place anyone would want to be once looking at this property for the first time. Sure, it will take some building and patience, but for $20,000, it is a perfect canvas for those looking to build a premier location in Ecuador. All it takes is some creativity and potential owners who don’t want to be anywhere but the beach.

Ecuador-Single-Level-Home

It’s incredible to me to see how much a house gives you for such little money in Ecuador, because, while this single living home might only be 1,700 square feet, it’s unlike most U.S. homes in terms of its finishings and views. Located in Cuenca, the region is actually known as one of the top retirement locations in the entire world, offering residents hills and a town close enough to drive to in order to take in tremendous culture. With all the furnishings available in the price of the home, it appears the current owners are looking to make this a seamless transition for those interested buyers.

6. Puembo Ecuador Villa – $880,000 USD

A farm that boasts 5.4 acres, three bedrooms and two baths, this villa in the Puembo region is nearly flawless. Although it doesn’t come with some of the stunning views of mountains and water like a few of these other listings do, it still does give a reminder of what makes Ecuador one of the most incredibly gorgeous countries in the world, with a few peaks in the distance being able to be seen from the backyard. Situated about 10 minutes from the airport, this villa is a great option for those looking for a home to relax in for extended stays, without going too deep into the countryside.
