Cartier is one of the most exclusive high-end luxury jewelry designers in the world. The line features jewels of every type, including watches. Since timepieces are a symbol of wealth and luxury, many people choose to purchase theirs from Cartier. The name makes the watch that much more of a status symbol; a way of telling the world, “I’ve made it,”. Read on to find out which watches are Cartier’s most expensive.
Extra Large Ballon Bleu Chronograph Diamond Watch – $233,000
The case on this lovely watch is made of 18-carat white gold. The measurements are slightly larger than the other timepieces of the same type, which is why this one is referred to as the extra large. The watch is water resistant and features a band made of diamond encrusted white gold. The face includes two rows of diamonds, for a grand total of more than $233,000.
Rotonde Tourbillon Chronograph Platinum Watch – $240,000
Elegance personified, this watch features a black alligator band and a slate grey dial consisting of chic roman numerals. This watch is a special piece from the Cartier collection, as only 50 were ever made. It has a platinum case and it features water resistant capabilities.
Extra Large Tortue High Complication Platinum Watch – $500,000
This half million dollar watch has a larger face than many. It’s a Cartier limited edition watch, one of only 15. The platinum case is set on a black alligator strap and it features a power reserve indictor, a silver dial and a deployant buckle.
Extra Large Ballon Bleu Tourbillon Diamond Watch – $1 million
Set with baguette diamonds and brilliant blue hands, this watch is unlike any other in the Cartier family. It does share a systematic similarity with the Chronograph version of the same watch, but this one is made almost entirely of diamonds. The power reserve is good for as many as 50 hours, and this watch is going to turn heads unlike any other on the market.
Phoenix Décor Secret Watch – $2.76 million
This watch doesn’t look like a watch, and it’s not worn on the wrist. The reason it’s called a secret watch is because it’s hidden in a phoenix. If you look closely, you can see it in the bracelet setting. Made of 18-carat white gold with emerald eyes and a portrait-cut and pear shaped diamonds weighing 3.5 carats, this watch features more than 3,100 diamonds total.
