The New BMW X4 is Here

BMW X4

For all of you who have ever dreamed about owning a BMW, this new X4 might just be your chance to land one. Blending the features of the already successful X family—which couples great class with the sleek style of coupe—the 2014 X4 was recently released in the last few days, and it’s sure to overtake the unique category of its class, the Sports Activity Coupe. With high-performance engines expected from each BMW vehicle, along with the xDrive all-wheel-drive system and performance control, the BMW X4 will be one of the fastest cars on the road as well.

For those who may be turned off by the fact that this vehicle might not appear as sexy as your typical BMW, check out some of these other numbers that will prove to all on-lookers that you’ve grown up, and that a two-door couple isn’t the only thing that can turn heads.

Thanks to the BMW EfficientDynamics engine family—with ranges from 184 hp to 313 hp—the standard BMW X4 requires just 5.5 seconds to hustle from 0 to 60 miles per hour. Equally impressive, the new-generation 2.0-litre diesel engine in the BMW X4 will help save you money on gas as well, with ranges between 48.7–56.5 mpg. But as great as the X4 might appear already, we all know that the final verdict will naturally come down to price—and the German carmakers have taken care of that, too.

As the smaller sibling of the popular X6 that the company produces, the new X4 might lack a few features of its counterpart, but will also be priced nicely in the $45,000 range, meaning all one needs is a steady job, some aspiration and driving gloves to makes this their next new car.

For anyone who can’t quite wait to see the BMW X4 in person, make sure to get to the New York Auto Show next month, as it will be displayed and revealed without just a few photos online.
