The Five Most Expensive Italian Luxury Watches

Some say that the watch a man wears is a symbol of his personal success. Perhaps this is true; after all, you don’t see Tom Cruise or David Beckham wearing watches purchased at the local mall. Instead, their watches tend to be created by luxury designers, and more increasingly those designers are Italian. Read on to find out which Italian-made watches are the most expensive and luxurious on the market.

Panerai Kampfschwimmer – $1 Million

This is one of the most expensive watches to hail from Italy. This simple, classic beauty is the epitome of timeless elegance with its Rolex interior movement. It’s one of a kind, almost literally. Only a few of these watches were ever produced, which makes coming across one a rare and enviable moment for any Italian watch lover.

Panerai Slytech  – $400,000

There are only 95 of these luxury Italian watches in the world, which is why people are now known to spend as much as $400,000 on just one of these luxury timepieces. It’s a big price for a watch. With its bold face and elegant time handles, this watch is certainly worth the investment. The statement it makes to own one of only a few luxury watches ever made is big; much bigger than the actual pricetag.

Daniel Roth Ellipsocurvex Tourbillon –  $131,000

Though the Daniel Roth company was initially founded and in business in Switzerland – the place where everyone assumes quality watches are made – the company was bought out by Italian designer Bulgari in 2000, which makes this expensive luxury watch an Italian watch. This watch features a semi-oval case with sapphire crystal, an alligator strap and a platinum case. The winding hands are a bit confusing, but the overall message is extreme; this watch is expensive and highly luxurious.

Bulgari Serpent Watch – $30,000

This watch is unlike any other, which is not unlike Bulgari. Made of solid gold, this watch winds three times around the wrist of a lady who likes to make a statement, ending atop her wrist in the shape of a serpent’s head. Encrusted with tiny diamonds and a classic face, this watch might not be everyone’s taste, but it’s bound to make a statement when worn.

Bulgari Diagono Chronograph – $16,900

The front is made of scratch-resistant sapphire, which is only one of the reasons this watch is loved by so many wealthy men including sports figures and rappers. The rubber strap and stainless steel links make this watch easy to care for, despite the fact that it’s so expensive. It’s not delicate by any means. This Italian luxury watch is one of the most popular and expensive available.
