There are many things you can rent for your own personal enjoyment; a vacation home on the beach or mountains, a car, a movie to watch and many other things. It seems you can rent just about anything these days, and that’s never been truer than it is now that you can rent a Rolex. That’s right; if you can’t afford to live the luxe life on a daily basis, you can rent it when you want to try it out.
Eleven James
Eleven James is a relatively new company that has recently launched their own version of lifestyles of the rich and famous; the ability to rent a Rolex. The concept, however, isn’t just for those who cannot afford to rent a luxury watch. It’s for everyone; including the wealthy. According to Eleven James founder Randy Brandoff, even the wealthy are being a little more cautious with their money. Instead of dropping tens of thousands of dollars on a watch they might wear for a few months until a newer version is introduced, they rent one and replace it every few months with something better for a fraction of the purchase price of a luxury designer watch.
Eleven James’ theory is that most people are happy to “rent” their luxury items. They lease cars instead of buying them. They rent vacation homes instead of buying them.
Watches
Eleven James offers Rolex’s for rent as well as other top designer watches such as those from Cartier, Audemars and Patek Phillippe. These watches are valued anywhere from $7,000 to $50,000 and are available to renters who join the rental plan. The Aficionado plan costs $2,700. It allows you to rent three watches per year for two months at a time, rotating them when the timeframe is up. You can upgrade to the $4,850 plan and get six watches a year for two months at a time. The value of the watches available on this plan is up to $15,000. The rest of the plans work the same way, but cost more money and allow renters to choose from more expensive timepieces.
