The Apple Watch Will Debut on Valentine’s Day

Apple

It’s the moment Apple-obsessed customers have been waiting for; the company has announced the release date of the Apple iWatch, and the best part is that your Valentine’s Day shopping just became simple. The new iWatch is going to go on sale on the most romantic (read: commercial) day of the year in 2015. It’s going to make the perfect romantic gesture for the one you love, because nothing says “I love you,” like a watch that can monitor your heart rate and allow you to see your notifications for your iPhone on your wrist before you bother digging out your phone.

The watch is just as capable as the android devices currently on the market, and its design and packaging rivals that of any high-end Swiss watchmaker. However, Apple thinks the design and the performance can be a little better, so they’re holding off on introducing the item just yet.

“We want to make the best product in the world. One of our competitors is on their fourth or fifth attempt, but nobody is wearing them,” said Jeff Williams, Senior Vice President of Operations at Apple. Of course, he’s talking about Samsung when he refers to his rival, but not naming the company outright is the only PC way to do business these days.

Of course, the difference between Samsung and Apple is big; people love Apple. People want Apple. The Apple logo is a status symbol. It’s the Louis Vuitton of the electronics industry to Samsung’s Tommy Hilfiger. If you want a new iWatch, be prepared to wait until Valentine’s Day 2015 and to shell out a substantial $349 for the basic edition and as much as $1000 for the limited edition version of the high-tech arm piece. Perhaps the price will go down a bit when the second edition is announced.
