A Midtown Manhattan Penthouse Goes on “Sale” for $44 Million

Spending $44 million on a home almost guarantees that you’re going to get everything you want. After all, this is the kind of price range that ensures high-end finishes, luxury trimmings and pretty much all the amazing things that any home has to offer. This price tag isn’t indicative of a fixer-upper is the point we are attempting to make. Of course, that doesn’t mean that you’ll always get what you want. Right now, you can spend approximately $44 million on a gorgeous new penthouse in the city, but you can’t move in until 2015 because it’s not completed.

The gorgeous 3-level penthouse at 1110 Park Avenue in New York City is currently for sale for $44 million, and it is slated for completion in fall 2015. There are approximately 9 homes in this 16-story building, and only 7 are still available – including this luxe penthouse. The other six units are large and upscale, but not quite as grand. Many of them start at a more affordable $15 million.

This penthouse, however, is grand epitomized. With more than 7,000 square feet of living space and an additional 1700+ square feet of outdoor living space, it’s one of the most magnificent penthouses in the city. This gorgeous apartment also comes with something very, very few other apartments in the city boast; a private pool on the deck.

The home features 5 bedrooms, 5 full baths and one half bath, a large professional kitchen with every imaginable upgrade, and a heated swimming pool on the deck. The roof deck also features a fireplace for cooler weather, a wet bar and a BBQ designed by Wolf. Despite its heated feature, this is not a pool that can be used in the winter. According to the building manager, it’s designed to sit empty when the weather is cold.
