A Regular Room at These Luxury Hotels in NYC Cost More for One Night than Most People’s Monthly Rents

Four Seasons

It should come as no surprise that hotels in New York City are some of the most luxurious, most expensive in the country, if not the world. These hotels are known for their high-end amenities, their discreet but helpful staff and their world-class spas and restaurants. If you’re planning a trip to New York City in the near future, you might want to consider booking a room at one of the most expensive and luxurious hotels in Manhattan. Believe it or not; some of the hotels you’re likely expecting are not at the top of this list.

St. Regis – $823

This 55th Street hotel is the most expensive luxury hotel in the city. The average room costs more than $823 per night, and that’s just for a regular room. If you’re looking for a suite, you’re going to pay a lot more than that. This hotel is close to all the best shopping and dining the city has to offer. Each guest room is equipped with high-end luxury bath amenities and details. The hotel features several restaurants and bars, a spa and shopping.

Mandarin Oriental – $814

When averaged out, a room at the Mandarin Oriental is $814 per night. This luxury hotel features guest rooms with floor to ceiling windows with beautiful views of the city, including a few rooms with views of the water. With a luxury spa, restaurants and a staff that makes sure you have everything you need before you know you need it, it’s the epitome of luxury.

Four Seasons  – $765

Located on East 57th Street, this luxury hotel offers everything you could ever want in a hotel, including breathtaking view of the city from just about every room in the building. High-end luxury is a standard here, from the food served in the world-class restaurants to the simplest of toiletries in each bathroom. Guests here will feel like celebrities from the moment they walk in until they head home, reluctantly.

Ritz-Carlton Central Park –  $764

Located along Central Park South, the Ritz-Carlton is a favorite luxury hotel. Every Ritz in the world is designed to offer only the most luxurious and classiest amenities, features and options. This one is no different. With sublime views of the park, dining and shopping options nearby as well as a concierge that will make sure you have everything you need upon your arrival and during your stay, this hotel is one of the most luxurious and expensive in the city. You certainly get what you pay for.

Trump International Hotel and Tower –  $745

Located at 1 Central Park West, you might be surprised to see this hotel is more expensive and luxurious that the newly renovated Plaza Hotel or even the Plaza Athenee, but it is when the prices of the rooms are averaged out and the luxurious amenities are configured. Trump International is always considered more of a business hotel, but this luxury Manhattan location is anything but business like. The sheer amount of luxury in this hotel is mindboggling, from the discreet finishes to the overwhelmingly luxe amenities offered here.
