The Top Five Luxury Hotels in Madagascar

madagascar

It’s not easy to find a lot of exceptionally upscale hotels in Madagascar, but we can do things no one else can do. There are two official luxury hotels here, and some very nice hotels that are a bit more family-friendly and situated more for those who are traveling on a budget but still want to find amenities and locations that are clean, upscale and still elegant in their own manner. We’ve narrowed it down, picked the ones we love the most; and we have to urge you to sit down. Prices here range from absolutely out-of-this-world to, “You have to be kidding me, right?” and there is no in-between.

constance

Constance Tsarabagjina

It’s the only five-star hotel in Madagascar, and it’s the one you cannot miss. With 25 luxury suites, this is the place to go. It’s got perfect water views, thatched roofs and your own private hammock. You have all your own space with a private terrace, a perfect slice of beach and any amenity you might want. However, only 13 of these luxury villas have air conditioning throughout; the rest have air only in the bedroom area. Located on a sort of private island, you’ll find everything you could want and more here. Rates begin at a staggering $810 per night, but might go up depending on whether or not you choose the all-inclusive option.

lehuere

L’Heure Bleue

Rated four stars, this lovely hotel is all kinds of fantastic – and I do not say that lightly. You will not find a prettier setting than this one, located right on the beach; Madirokely Beach, to be precise. While it’s not classic luxury, it is chic in every way; and that makes it one that you cannot miss. It’s not a large hotel by any means, with only 8 luxury rooms and 10 bungalows each situated on the beach. Each one has an unbelievable view, and each one has a private terrace, luxury amenities and ample privacy. Each of the restaurants is managed by a professional chef with stellar taste and management style, and all meals are served with an oceanfront cocktail prior to dining. This is a place you cannot ignore as prices begin at only $95 per night – so now is the time to book.

andilana

Andilana Beach Resort

While it’s not as native as some of the other hotels in the area, this lovely hotel features a very resort-like view and amazing customer ratings. The rooms are relatively normal, though each is very nice with more upscale amenities. The hotel sits right on the beach, and it’s famous for its amazing deep sea fishing. It is also all-inclusive, and families love that in particular as it is a very family-friendly resort. Prices begin at $300 per night depending on the season and go up from there (that’s per person). Many people are fond of Bravo, the kids club; so it’s a great family vacation.

royal beach hotel

Royal Beach Hotel

What you will love about this particular hotel is the attention to detail. When was the last time you went anywhere to find hardwood floors outdoors, beautiful private settings on the beach and a staff that does not leave any detail unaccounted for? You did not; that’s our point here. This hotel has everything you might imagine from luxury suites to basic rooms with upscale designs and amenities, and some of the most amazing restaurants in Madagascar. Prices begin at only $170 per night, so it’s also highly affordable.

hotel sakamanga

Hotel Sakamanga

This is an interesting property, but people really seem to love it. We’ve added it not because it is a luxury resort, because there are only two official luxury resorts in Madagascar, but because of the rustic charm guests rave about with each stay. It’s a beautiful location, on the water, and it has everything you could ever have in a much smaller setting with much more alluring appeal. Rooms are only $30 per night, which is unheard of; but Madagascar is not known for too many over-the-top locations.
