The World’s Most Expensive Burger

There are several factors that go into making an amazing burger. It’s imperative that any good burger has great bread, it’s not soggy, and the meat has to be pristine. There are a number of good burgers in the world, but only one can be great. When a burger is this good, it’s going to cost a bit more than your average burger. The most expensive burger in the world earned its name by being delicious; it’s not your everyday drive-thru burger. It’s exquisite.

The title of most expensive burger in the world was bestowed up on the concoction created by Serendipity 3 in New York City back in 2011. The Guinness Book of World Records officially proclaimed this burger the most expensive, pricing out at $295. This decadent sandwich was created with only the finest beef; Japanese Waygu. It’s complete with handmade cheddar cheese that’s been aged for 18 months and it features a variety of high end accoutrements. It wasn’t long, however, before this burger was left in the dust.

The most expensive burger in the world can now be found at the Avalon Hotel in Beverly Hills. At Oliverio’s, you’ll find a burger so elaborate that the head chef decided it was worth $500. What, exactly, makes a burger worth $500? It’s called the Hamburger al Tartufo. It uses aged Kobe beef, truffle and truffle-infused cheese.

This burger is so elaborate and so delicious that the restaurant requires it to be ordered 48 hours in advance – and it must be paid for when it is ordered. They’re not wasting this expensive beef on someone who might show up for lunch or dinner. Aside from the differences in the two expensive burgers mentioned here, there’s another big difference; the proceeds from the Serendipity 3 burger go straight to charity. Not in Beverly Hills; they keep their earnings.
